Two men from southern China separately immigrated to the United States, but wound up founding a successful herbology healthcare service and mercantile, Kam Wah Chung, in the town of John Day, Ore. That was at the end of the 1800s. 100 years later, professional storyteller Rebecca Hom encountered a tale of the Ku Klux Klan in the region, acting out its biases against the remaining influence of the Chinese entrepreneurs and the longstanding mercantile.
