The Oregon Trail Band

Music was the lifeblood of entertainment in the 19th century. When the work was done, musical instruments were brought out and a songfest began. Traveling musicians were highly celebrated and well-attended. You can enjoy the feel of those bygone days with popular 19th century music played by the Museum's own Oregon Trail Band.

As part of the Living History program, the Oregon Trail Band performs at 1:30 pm preceeding the day's Living History performance every 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month during the season. Pictured above are (left to right) Linda Ray, Gordon Hare, Leroy Hogeboom, and Bob Bohlman. Visiting musicians are encouraged to sit in. Contact the Museum at (509)525-7703 if you're interested in playing with the band regularly.

The Museum is located in Fort Walla Walla Park along Myra Road in Walla Walla. Admission is $7/adults; $6/students and seniors (62+); $3/children 6-12; and free to members, and children under 6. through a reciprocal agreement, Tamástslikt Cultural Institute’s Inwai Circle cardholders and enrolled members of the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation are also accorded free admission.
