2012 Schedule of Events:
Join us in celebrating our 45th season of service to the community from our
location
in beautiful Fort Walla Walla Park!
Your business, club, or organization
can be an event sponsor! Contact the Museum for more information.
The heritage of the Walla Walla region is colorful and varied, made of a wide assortment of people
from many cultural backgrounds.
Shifting and blending, sometimes creating new
identities,
but always
influencing one another in numerous ways, these diverse sources continue
to make
Walla Walla a special
place to live, work and play.
Pride of place is a hallmark of the region;
we treasure and celebrate
all the different
facets that define who we are.
Music, dancing, food, dress, language, religion … these and other aspects of culture make up the
identifiable
outer appearances of groups. More difficult to identify is the way people within a culture
think
and see the world. Much can be done to increase the understanding of different points of view
by sharing
your cultural celebrations with neighbors and guests.
If your group is interested in participating with Fort Walla Walla Museum,
contact the Museum at (509) 525-7703.
